of 70 kgs.

We use fibers in bodywork sectors (light febers) avoiding the use of heavy materials that deform the bodywork of the vehicle over time and bring annoying noises. This process ensures that there are no structural changes and you will continue to enjoy your vehicle in the same way as when you started it for the first time.

When considering the installation of this type of protection, verify the type of armor offered and that it really complies with the established standards.

steps to shield

FREQUENT QUESTIONS

Do all vehicles have the possibility of armoring?

Yes, at IronGlass we work with armoring solutions for all makes and models.

Is the shielding usually noticeable to the eye?

No, the armor is not noticeable to the naked eye. An imperceptible armor is safer for the owner and its occupants, that's why at IronGlass we work on the details and finish of the vehicle so that it looks as if its components were original from the factory.

What is it like to drive an armored vehicle?

With an armored vehicle, the user circulates normally, both in the city and on highways, routes and various roads, without taking into account any extraordinary precautions, giving the vehicle the normal use for which it was designed, always respecting traffic regulations.

Does an armored vehicle lose resale value?

Armored vehicles do not lose resale value, and currently there is a great demand for armored cars due to the security they provide. It is important that the armored vehicle has been treated with sufficient quality and expertise by the armoring company to ensure the recovery of the investment at the time of sale. In IronGlass we guarantee a top quality armoring service, handcrafted by technicians and engineers who receive constant training.

What is the right level of shielding for me?

The level of armoring will depend on the protection and security needs of each user. The most frequently used armor in IronGlass is Level RB3, which is sufficient to armor against the most common weapon calibers such as 32, 38, 40 and 9 mm.

Is the armoring activity regulated?

In Argentina, the RENAR (National Weapons Registry) is the entity that regulates this activity, classifies the different ballistic levels and approves all the materials that will be used in the armoring of vehicles. The RENAR is also the body that grants the authorization to become an armored vehicle manufacturer. Autoseguro, under its umbrella brand X-Solutions, is duly registered as such.

Does the car become heavier?

The vehicle is increased between 80 and 160 kg. according to the requested armor.

Is an armored car more resistant in case of accidents?

The materials installed are prepared to stop the energy coming from projectiles. In case of accidents, the energy of the impact can also be stopped by the material used in an armored vehicle.

It is important to note that the materials used for armoring do not modify the vehicle's design, and therefore energy absorption in impacts with other vehicles or various objects will not be affected.

Who can drive an armored vehicle?

Any person wishing to drive an armored unit must meet two requirements: Request the CLU (Credencial de Legítimo Usuario) equivalent to the driver's license, and the Tenencia (equivalent to the Cédula Verde); both documents are granted by the RENAR (Registro Nacional de Armas).

What are the shielding levels?

The options offered by IronGlass are in accordance with the different levels of armor that exist according to RENAR (Registro Nacional de Armas).
